JSL Nippon Academy is located in Okinawa prefecture, where is the Southernmost and the westernmost district of Japan, well known as Resort Island from all over the world. Okinawa is comfortable to live with warm weather throughout the year, which is surrounded with beautiful ocean and great nature. JSL Okinawa Campus is located in Urasoe City. It is very easy to access from Naha City, prefectural capital of Okinawa, only takes 10 minutes by car. There are convenience and grocery stores, a large shopping mall, a large home improvement center and delicious restaurants in the neighborhood; it is great environment for daily life. Also, you can get to parks and beautiful beaches in 20 to 30 minutes by bicycle and enjoy diving or marine sports.

"Very helpful and nice people/teacher but without speaking much English"

I felt really taken care of and also have improved my language skill. It was a very open form of teaching. The main Problem was that most of the teacher and stuff couldn't speak English, therefore sometimes the communication was really difficult. I wouldn't recommend this school for beginners courses but for advanced speakers it is a great place!

"Amazing teachers and a welcoming atmosphere"

I've spent 6 weeks at the JSL and I've had an amazing experience! Everything was catered to my exact Japanese skills, the pace was pleasant and I had 3 amazing teachers. I've not stayed in their housing facilities, as I live in Okinawa so I cannot comment on that. Because I went to the school during the pandemic I was also in the special situation to have 1 on 1 classes, which is usually also not the case. I would 10/10 go again and maybe even will!
